Determined to see His Kingdom come!
Join us for dinner and an inspiring evening with Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame running back, Emmitt Smith. His career was marked by his steadfast, determined will to succeed. But his commitment to the Lord was his highest priority along the way. Celebrate with us at the Arlington Convention Center on Thursday, September 14.
The Message version of Hebrews 12:1-2 puts clear and powerful emphasis on these famous verses:
“Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. …start running—and never quit! …Keep your eyes on Jesus!”
This picture of heavenly determination resonates strongly with us at MJBI. We are building on the foundations of the “pioneers who blazed the way.” But we are pressing forward into the immense opportunities God has placed before us. We are determined to see His Kingdom come!
We hope you will decide to join us for this exciting event this year. Because of your support and attendance, we are able to continue our mission of educating and equipping leaders who are bringing revival to the Jewish people around the world!
Nic Lesmeister, President & CEO
Emmitt Smith is a professional football icon and one of the greatest to ever play the game. In his 15 years in the National Football League, Emmitt amassed many records that still stand today. This includes the all-time leading rusher with 18,355 career rushing yards and the all-time rushing touchdown record holder with 164 TDs. Emmitt’s impressive resume also includes three Super Bowl champion rings and being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2010.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses in the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down … and let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Yeshua, on whom our faith depends from start to finish. He was willing to die a shameful death because of the joy he knew would be his afterward.
HEBREWS 12:1–2, NLT
The vision of the MJBI is to bring Jewish people into a personal relationship of faith with Yeshua the Messiah, knowing their acceptance will eventually mean life from the dead (Romans 11:15).
The MJBI equips leaders who will establish Messianic Jewish congregations and ministries in Jewish communities worldwide. Additionally, the MJBI seeks to equip the Church in its responsibility to take the Good News to the Jew first (Romans 1:16). Like Paul, the MJBI helps educate Christians in their role to provoke the Jewish people to jealousy and thus save some of them (Romans 11:11-14).
We have hosted our annual Fall Fundraising Banquet in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex for twenty-one years. What started as a small event has now turned into one of the biggest Christian events of its kind in the DFW area with between 600-1000 people in attendance each year.
The theme for this year’s fundraising banquet is Determined. We are building on the foundations of the “pioneers who blazed the way.” But we are pressing forward into the immense opportunities God has placed before us. We are determined to see His Kingdom come! Once the cost of the event has been covered, all proceeds will go to fulfill the mission of the MJBI.
